My name is Adam De Young and I am the Digital Content Director for a new Rapid City website called allinoneplace.com. We are reaching out to popular bloggers in the region to see if you would like to be included on our site as part of our Black Hills Bloggers section. We are very interested in your content and would love to include you on our site. Please let me know if this is something you’d be interested in participating with. We can simple grab your RSS feed and aggregate it to our site.
The only thing we would ask in return is a link on your site back to ours.
Hi Chad, I just came across your blog through a link from the South Dakota Magazine website. Your images are truly wonderful. I would give anything to be able to put aside my "regular" job and pursue photography full time. The idea of traveling this state full time and witnessing the things you've seen.... it must be a dream. I appreciate all the fabulous content you have on this blog. I just may pick up one of those t-shirts for myself :0) I have some success selling my photography at Tigert's Art Gallery here in Vermillion (and online) but would love to some day see my name included in a list of "South Dakota Photographers." I LOVE this state... have lived here my whole life. Wishing you continued success and safe journeys. Dawne Olson
Thanks for reading Adam and Dawne! And thanks for the links Adam, good luck with the site. Dawne - your wish just came true. Check out the list of SD photographers for Dawne's work everyone. She's got some great stuff. My job is pretty fun most days. This week I'm traveling from Sioux Falls to Spearfish, hitting many attractions as I go. Should have some fun new stuff to post in the next few weeks when I get the time.
I have been the Senior Photographer for the South Dakota Department of Tourism and State Development since 1993. That means I travel the entire state making South Dakota pictures of festivals, historic sites, landscapes, wildlife, visitor attractions, etc. My photographs have appeared in many publications including National Geographic Traveler, books on the rock band KISS, and exhibited at the National Museum of Wildlife Art. I also love movies and their history, especially those filmed in South Dakota.
Unless otherwise noted, the photography you see here is by me and most comes from the files of my employer, the South Dakota Department of Tourism. This blog is in no way affiliated with or supported by South Dakota Tourism or the State of South Dakota. Opinions and observations presented here are strictly the work of the blog's author.
Many of these photos are available for promoting South Dakota or travel here. You may contact South Dakota Tourism to find out how. Do not use without permission.
