I couldn't resist the challenge of shooting the motorcycle jumpers on the beach along the Missouri River. Taking off from a curved metal ramp, these stuntmen flew amazingly high and unbelievably landed safely on a large dirt mound.
I shot two of the four shows they did over the weekend, just to give myself several angles to work with. As it turned out, I also got my choice of sunny or overcast skies to work with. Both seemed to work equally well.

I experimented with high shutter speeds to freeze the action and low shutter speeds to give the sense of motion. I like the frozen stuff better, but this one with some motion blur to the background isn't too bad.
