South Dakota State Fair, Huron

South Dakota's State Fair in Huron opened today and I was there to capture the fun. Since I concentrated on kids and the carnival last year (see here), I spent more time at the food vendors this year.

Today was "Value Added Ag Day," which included a free sweet corn feed provided by the South Dakota Corn Utilization Council.

It's no surprise that foods of all kinds can be found at the fair.

Food isn't the only thing at the fair, so I also took in the draft horse show. The beauty, power and grace of these huge animals is amazing.

Hundreds of prize-winning vegetables, fruits, and flowers are also on display.

More information about how you can attend the fair, including great entertainment is found here.
