Nibble Nook is a good spot

What's a photographer to do when his stomach is grumbling on Interstate 90 in western South Dakota? Stop by the Nibble Nook in Kadoka of course!
Classic roadside eats are offered up at this small cafe south of Exit 150. I highly recommend the real handmade burgers on toasted buns. Waffle fries with just the right amount of seasoning complement them very well. They also serve ice cream for those hot dusty days shooting the nearby Badlands National Park.
Besides, where else can you also purchase horse halters, leather gun belts and pencil drawings by local artists?
Check out my "on the road" dining recommendations for other parts of the state here.
