More buffalo

As you can tell, I've been digging back into the files to find images of buffalo I may have missed before in the editing process.

With Custer State Park and Wind Cave National Park sitting right next to each other in southwestern South Dakota, there just isn't a better place anywhere for shooting photos of buffalo or American bison. Spending some time around these huge critters and watching for fun behavior is a special treat.

I really like to look for other animals interacting with the buffalo like this prairie dog peeking out of his hole to see what that big shaggy fellow rolling in the dust is up to.

Or this calf jumping and kicking to scare up some blackbirds.

Everyone together now - "Aaawwww, isn't that cute?"
