Photoshop World day three

So if you are a regular reader of Dakotagraph, you know that this image is about as far away from my typical style of photography as you can get. However, when you're at Photoshop World attempting to learn new techniques and open up to new ideas and they put this in front of you it's pretty hard to not shoot it.

On top of shooting the photo I attempted to put some of the things I learned to use with a layer mask, Content Aware Fill, the burn tool, edge vignetting, patch tool and a texture filter. I guess it turned out okay, but don't expect me to become a glamour photographer all of a sudden.

Here's the image straight out of the camera.

Also learned quite a bit about HDR today plus some tips on sharpening and compositing. The day ended with a great panel presentation of work by Moose Peterson, Julieanne Kost, Dave Black, Joe McNally, Jay Maisel, John Paul Caponigro, and Jim DiVitale.

Quotes of the day -

"Flickr is where you go when you need a hug." Scott Kelby
"No pixels have to die. Just go shoot." Joe McNally

It appears the storms which caused quite a bit of damage across central Florida today are over and I should have sunny skies for the rest of my trip. Let's hope so! It was wet out there all day today.

Also don't forget to check out Scott Kelby's blog for more on Photoshop World.
