Disney from the outside

Leaving Photoshop World behind, I have now moved just down the highway to Walt Disney World. Arriving just a couple hours before sunset tonight, it didn't make sense to buy a theme park pass. So I made the most of my time by finding what I could photograph from outside the park gates.

Disney transportation is available to all resort guests, so I hopped a bus to the Magic Kingdom entrance area and took some shots of the famous monorail.

I then boarded the monorail and shot the sun setting over the Seven Seas Lagoon. You'd never know this was taken at Disney World, would you? It's not the sharpest because I had to shoot through the window and out of the moving monorail, but I was happy with it.

As long as I was traveling around "The World," I headed over to Epcot for a viewing of the Illuminations show from the parking lot. I don't remember ever seeing a photo of Spaceship Earth quite like this one.

All in all, a pretty successful night of shooting without having access to the really good stuff I'll see over the next two days.
