Palisades Photo Walk

Several people have asked whether there will be any Dakotagraph Photo Walks this summer. The answer is yes, but I haven't found the time to sit down and schedule them out yet. So I'm piggy-backing on good friend Marty DeWitt's "Take Your Best Shot" Photo Workshop this weekend at Palisades State Park near Garretson.

Marty does a great job of breaking the basics of photography down into easily-understandable bits. I hope to have something extra to add to the event so everyone should pick up at least a few tips as we wander and photograph one of the state's great parks.

We will meet at the picnic shelter just inside the park entrance at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 18. There is no fee other than the state park entrance, which is $28 for an annual pass or $4 per person/$6 per vehicle daily. More information can be found at the Game, Fish and Parks website.

If you've got specific questions about photography or your gear, bring them along! We'll do our best to help you out.
