Siouxland Renaissance Festival

As promised, here are some images from last weekend's Siouxland Renaissance Festival. The Sioux Empire Fairgrounds were filled with all sorts of interesting characters to photograph.

With it's 10th anniversary, the festival has established itself as one of several major festivals that signal the beginning of summer in South Dakota. The first weekend in June offers so many choices it's hard to know which corner of the state to take your camera gear to. I'm already wondering if next year I should take in the Crazy Horse Memorial Volksmarch, the Fort Sisseton Historical Festival, the Deadwood Marathon, or will there be an airshow at Ellsworth Air Force Base again.

The Renaissance Festival was a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing your pictures. I like the clarity and interesting perspectives used in the first two.
