Thanks very much to the
Black Hills Photography Club, who invited me to judge their monthly contest this week. All the great photos of wildflowers inspired me to point my camera in that direction in Custer State Park and Badlands National Park over the last two days.

Lots of rain this summer has the grass growing very tall, but also making the flowers pop as much as any year that I can remember. It's getting hot though, so some of these beauties won't be lasting much longer. Got to get out and shoot them while we can!

Really Nice Chad! I think my favorite is the one with the sunflower. No doubt where that was shot and really sharp.
Thanks again for sharing your comments and critique at the BHPC competition.
Thanks Dave. I really did try to think about all the photos from the club members and everything I'd said about them when shooting my stuff.
