Even if race cars aren't exactly your thing, I think you'll find something fun to shoot during the afternoon. Bigger telephotos will be handy for shooting cars at speed, wide angles work great in the pit area for mechanics tuning the cars, and macro lenses can even be used for extreme details like shiny lug nuts.

RSVP by leaving a message on the Dakotagraph website or the Facebook page. We've got some special access lined up and free admission to the race track for Photo Walk participants, but we will need a confirmed list of names by Friday, July 22.
Bring earplugs along, I guarantee you'll be glad you did. Sunscreen and shoes that cover your toes will also be handy.

I'm interested in going to this. I have no professional or educational experience in photography. About 3-4 months ago, I upgraded from a Canon Powershot to a Nikon D5000. Since then I have been teaching myself camera features and settings.
Hi Samuel, Sounds great! It's always fun to see someone enjoying a new hobby and learning. I'll be posting a reminder about the Photo Walk soon.
Hoping you catch that I had to reschedule the Photo Walk for Sunday, July 31 at 8:30 am. I'll be looking for you there!
