Rural inspiration
One of the great things about driving through East River South Dakota is the abundance of picturesque farms. It's often not difficult to find a nice set of buildings and a windmill to place in front of a great sunset.
It's easy to see where Watertown artist Terry Redlin got much of his inspiration. I'm happy to be able to say I got to know Terry a bit and maybe soak up some of his eye for the rural countryside. You can see many of his original paintings at the Redlin Art Center in Watertown.
