Black Hills State University's photography program continues to make impressive gains in assisting students get an education and a head start on careers in the photography field.
A $75,000 gift from a photography professor who's seen the progress will boost the program even further over the next three years. Read the full story here - BHSU Photography Program.
This comes on top of BHSU Photo Professors Steve Babbitt, Jerry Rawlings and Shawna Norman's efforts that have resulted in enrollment in the program growing, a state-of-the-art studio and darkroom built in the last year, donations of equipment by Canon Cameras, and visits to campus by Canon "Explorers of Light." The Spearfish university also hosts the annual Black Hills Photo Shootout.
Even if I wasn't a BHSU alumni I think I'd be impressed.
