More 1880 Town storm

So why did I call last night's storm a "mothership" in my last post? I think these photos might answer that question.

Beautiful pictures, where are these taken? Im guessing a polarized lens, slower shutter?

Thanks Corey. This is the 1880 Town near Belvidere, South Dakota. I don't think a polarizer would have done much here except slow the shutter speed down even further. This High Dynamic Range or HDR, which is three images of varying exposure blended together. It quite often enhances the texture as it did here in the clouds.

Beautiful photos! Inspires me to put the town on my cross-country drive list.
