South Dakota Kite Day might provide fun photos

The Pierre Elk's Lodge is holding South Dakota Kite Day on Wednesday, July 18 at Hilger's Gulch northeast of the capitol building in Pierre from 1-3:30 pm CDT.

This event is open to all children up to 14 years of age. The first 400 children will receive a free kite and a lesson on how to fly the kite properly. Pierre Elk's Lodge members will be on hand to assist with handing out the kites, putting them together and getting them into flight.

Could be some colorful compositions to make with the capitol as a backdrop.
