Badlands Astronomy Festival draws a crowd

I wasn't able to attend all of the Badlands Astronomy Festival this weekend, but what I saw was drawing crowds and creating a buzz.

Astronaut Story Musgrave had people climbing the hills surrounding the Cedar Pass Campground amphitheatre to see his keynote talk Saturday night.

With a new moon leaving the sky very dark and clear weather, the view of the Milky Way was spectacular and I wasn't the only photographer out capturing it.

I haven't heard any official word yet, but I would bet we can count on more Astrology Festivals in the future.
