Black Hills Photography Club offering monthly mini-workshops

I have been really impressed with all the photography clubs in the state and the hard work members put into making picture taking a fun activity for everyone. The latest example is the Black Hills Photography Club's new monthly mini-workshops.

Once each month the club will offer an instructional session on topics like getting to know your camera's controls, camera and lens cleaning, editing workflow, image backup, creating online portfolios, etc. These workshops will be FREE and you don't have to be a club member to participate.

A full schedule has not been set yet, but the first mini-workshop will be Tuesday, April 30 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Outdoor Campus West in Rapid City.

There has also been some discussion about offering the min-workshops as podcasts, YouTube videos and/or live video feeds. Stay tuned to The Black Hills Photography Club's Facebook page or website for more info.

Speaking of photography club activities, I hope I see a bunch of you at the second annual South Dakota Camera Club Roundup in Mitchell on Saturday, April 13.
