Sometimes Mother Nature wins the battle

I try not to fight with Mother Nature much, even though I often give the advice that bad weather makes good photos.

Last Saturday night the Oahe Days carnival was set up right next to the Missouri River causeway in Pierre and I wasn't going to miss trying to shoot reflections in the water. I got my shot, but this huge nasty storm blew in and sent me scrambling for my dry house. I understand some people and the band that was playing in the park waited out the rain and had a great evening. Good for them. I'll be happy with these photos.

These are neat photos Chad! Also going to tell you we drove the Bad River Road last Saturday. Didnt see a big herd of bison but did see some. Also saw burrowing owls. Very neat and overall a real nice drive. Thanks for the info you gave me on it.

Thanks for the report Patty. Sorry you didn't find the big herd of buffalo, but burrowing owls are always great to find. Happy to help out.
