Presentations and workshops coming up

Several opportunities for learning photography are coming up.

First is Randy Halverson's presentation to the Black Hills Photography Club in Rapid City on Tuesday, July 9. If you haven't seen Randy's work at www.dakotalapse.com you should. His night sky and time lapse photography is amazing. The presentation is free and open to the public. It will take place from 7 to 9 pm at the Outdoor Campus West.

The Nature Conservancy is offering a nature photography workshop at the S.H. Ordway Prairie near Leola on July 13 from 9 am to 3 pm. Prairie scenery, bison and other wildlife will be featured. RSVP to the Ordway Prairie headquarters to reserve your spot on the workshop. The workshop is free and lunch will be provided. Thanks to Dana Geuther of the Through The Lens Camera Club in Aberdeen for pointing this workshop out.

I will also toss out another plug for the Black Hills Photo Shootout. Registration is open for this great weekend of learning and shooting this fall. Reserve your workshop sessions at ThePhotoShootout.com.
