Wagon train headed for Pierre

South Dakota's Sesquicentennial is being celebrated partly with a commemorative wagon train that left the Dakota Territorial Capitol of Yankton on September 3 and will pull into the South Dakota State Capitol of Pierre on Saturday, September 20.
I caught up with the wagon train last weekend as they joined together with the Wessington Springs' Kyle Evans Memorial Wagon Train for a special historical spectacle traveling across the prairie.
If you are interested in photographing the last couple days of the wagon train, you can catch them as they drop into the Missouri River Valley tomorrow, camp at Farm Island tomorrow night, and then make the final push into Pierre on Saturday. More information is at the South Dakota Sesquicentennial website.
